Manual mode
Manual mode is the traditional way to configure SuiviBourse. You describe the current state of your portfolio in a YAML file — SuiviBourse does not compute anything for you, it uses the values as-is.
For each stock, you provide:
- The name (you can choose a custom display name)
- The Yahoo! Finance stock symbol
- The purchased quantity, fee and unit cost price
- The number of owned shares (may differ from the purchased quantity if you got some for free)
- The dividends you received
caution
The file must be named config.yaml. See the
deployment section for its exact location.
Example
Say you own:
- 2 shares of Apple stock (bought one, got the second for free)
- 3 shares of Tesla stock (bought at different times)
config.yaml
shares:
- name: Apple
symbol: AAPL # Yahoo! Finance stock symbol
purchase:
quantity: 1
fee: 2 # Fee when you bought the share
cost_price: 119.98 # Value of the share when you bought it
estate:
quantity: 2 # Because you got one for free
received_dividend: 2.85 # Sum of all received dividends
- name: Tesla
symbol: TSLA
purchase:
quantity: 3
fee: 5.8 # When buying multiple shares, sum of the fees
cost_price: 856.87 # When buying at different prices, weighted average
estate:
quantity: 3
received_dividend: 4.57
Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
name | Display name for the share |
symbol | Yahoo! Finance ticker |
purchase.quantity | Number of shares you bought |
purchase.fee | Total transaction fees |
purchase.cost_price | Unit cost price (weighted average if bought at different prices) |
estate.quantity | Number of shares you currently own |
estate.received_dividend | Total dividends received |
All numeric fields must be present and >= 0. The full validation schema is
documented in Schema validation.
No historical backfill in manual mode
Manual mode only records the current state of your portfolio. If you want SuiviBourse to reconstruct the historical evolution of your positions, use events mode instead.
